![]() ![]() Throughout the latter half of the epilogue, Holo does what Holo does and drops tons of hints for Lawrence regarding names. They're preparing a wedding and they invite all the friends/acquaintances they made during their journey (including Norah, Eve, Diana, Elsa, Hildir, Loah, Myuri, Hugh, Keeman, etc.). ![]() Lawrence and Holo pretty much ends up together. A fitting occupation given how much time Lawrence and Holo have spent staying at inns during their journey. Lawrence and Holo have settled down in Nyohirra (slightly northeast of Holo's homeland of Yoitsu) and are almost done building a new hot spring bath house/inn. It takes place approximately six years after the beginning of Volume 1. The story pretty much ends after Volume 16 and Volume 17 basically serves as an epilogue for the story. This was truly an amazing series. It's really hard to find any similar series to fill the void left by this series My All-time Favorite But still it was a satisfying and realistic ending w/c leave a memorable impression to me. With that in mind she wouldn't be lonely again and there will be no need to seek for a new partner or companion cuz she has a new purpose in life just like Diana who is also a Bird Deity hence she didn't became lonely/miserable or looked for a new partner since she found her new happiness.Īt the end of everything I would be lying if I say that it's ok for me to think that Lawrence will left Holo in the future(I still want them to be together forever w/ their child/). Also even if Holo becomes a widowed she still has their child (w/c is half human and half deity that is immortal as well, seems like Inuyasha) to take care to and the bathhouse as a memento, taking care of that child will seem to be a tough job. Also there's the third new member of their family. But I'm sure that during that time the two would make countless memories that they can treasure. Their maximum time that they can be together is about 30-60 years in our time. It is inevitable that Lawrence will eventually die before Holo. ![]() Thats it, i personally liked it, is kind of bittersweet and lovely, with the couple together and all, but with a deeper meaning behind, now we are waiting for novel 17 to see what is going to be about. thought he don't entire like the idea of Horo being with another man. Horo and Lawrence ends together, both with dreams and hopes entire different than the ones at the start of the novel (lawrence even reject a Deal involving his own shop), they only want to live together in peace, but there is one thing,Lawrence some day will die and Horo will continue living, when that happen, Horo is going to search for another companion, because she has learned not to live in the past and move forward, and thanks to that same feeling, not being in the past and live the NOW at full, is now with lawrence, happy, lawrence accept the fact that, once he die, Horo keeps moving forward, because he doesn't want her to be depressing on his death, he wants horo to keep smiling, even if that mean with another men. You know what the ending is? Hasekura told me nothing but this: It won't be nearly similar to what ANYONE expects. So basically, they will continue travelling together after solving the intrigue of the 16:th book, and a 17:th short story will be released in summer, and THAT is when the real countdown begins. Thanks in advance to anyone that replies!Īctually I haven't read the novel since I'm German and cannot buy it here however I have some contact with author Hasekura and when I asked him in person he said: THIS ISN'T THE END! So on to the topic: Could any member of our community, that read the last volume tell me how it ends? I mean, is it a good/bad/indefinite end? Do the end up together? Are they continuing traveling? Or is it maybe the classic "one dies, the other lives forever after" type of end? I know that this is a bit selfish of a request but it has been bothering me as of late, and waiting another seven years to get the answer surely will get the best of me soon. I live in europe and possess no knowledge in japanese whatsoever, so with the release schedule by Yen Press it will take another ~seven years for me to be able to enjoy the whole series. I read that the last volume of the light novels was released a few days ago, and I am curious about the end. Recently I started watching the Spice and Wolf anime, and am currently half way through the second season. ![]()
